Made & Seen

Flowers offered a shape to start with. The internet has its confident taxonomy — tulip for hope, carnation for grief, protea for endurance. Arbitrary, maybe. But it gave me a way in. This series came from a period of change — from fear, hope, grief, love, exhaustion, sometimes all at once. Each image ties to something lived through, or still being lived through. The motion blur isn't technique. It's the feeling itself: present, unresolved, still in motion. This project isn't finished. Neither am I. But every frame is a moment of standing still, looking inward, and trying to translate feeling into form. Still here. Still moving.

Yo-yos, marbles, a spinning top, a balero, a paper plane. Objects stripped of color and context, reduced to shape and shadow — stand-ins for the moments we can no longer fully hold. This is not about the things we played with. It's about the long summer evenings when time felt endless, and we hoped the call to come inside would never come. The innocence of those days has softened now — still present, just out of reach.
