Still MovingAbstract Floral Photography Series
This series began with a shift in how I saw things—not just through the lens, but in how color and black & white carried meaning. It happened during a time of change, when I stepped away from what was familiar and found myself confronting what was real. That moment didn’t feel bold—it felt fragile. But it also felt honest.
Still Moving came from that space. From fear, hope, grief, love, exhaustion—sometimes all at once. And in the middle of all of it, I realized: I’m still here. Still feeling. Still moving.
Each image ties to a feeling—something I’ve lived through, or am still living through. I used flowers because they offered a shape to start with. The internet has an oddly confident take on what each flower symbolizes: a tulip for hope, a carnation for grief, a protea for endurance. It’s arbitrary, maybe—but it gave me a way in.
This project doesn’t pretend to be polished or resolved. It’s still in progress, just like I am. But every image is a moment I stood still, looked inward, and tried to translate feeling into form. Some days I’m blooming. Some days I’m barely holding together. But I’m here. Still human. Still moving.
